Saint Patrick's Inspired Treats
In honor of Saint Patrick's day this Sunday, I wanted to create something fun to share with the girls at my consulting job. After perusing Pinterest (remember my St. Patty's board?) I decided to tweak a treat I had seen on there.
These pot of gold at the end of the rainbow treats were a hit! And they were easy to make. All it takes is 2 bags of candy (or 3 if you want variety) and some snack-sized plastic baggies.
Did I mention these were a hit? I walked into our team meeting with these and the comments were great. Everyone loved the rainbows and I loved how quickly I was able to put them together. All I had to do was sort the candies by color.
Then I counted out 10 of each color and put them in the bags. I had thought about making cupcakes, but in the end these took about an hour to put together while I was watching TV. So much better!
Be sure to squeeze out the air in the baggies to help keep the candies in order. To transport them, I laid them all out in a larger gallon-sized plastic bag and squeezed the air out of that too. Surprisingly, they made it to their final destination intact.
